Black Parent Advisory Council

It takes a village! Black Students in Minneapolis Public Schools rely on the (parental) village as advocates, mentors, and mediators!

Please join us in building a strong foundation for the success of Black Students.

Black Parent Advisory Council:

  • A friendly space to learn about district issues, share concerns, and identify solutions (also known as information sharing);
  • Use your voice to shape and influence district policies and programs;
  • Address needs and opportunities as a community; and
  • Be a part of the District Parent Advisory Council hosted monthly by the Superientendent.

Meetings:  Every month starting in September (no meetings in December, July, and August).

Have questions or want to get involved? Contact Charisma Smith at 612.668.0234 or Charisma.Smith@mpls.k12.mn.us
